Her Sport

Sarah is a professional freeskier, an acrobatic form of technical and aerial skiing. It is organized into a number of different disciplines, although there are no impartial authorities for managing the sport internationally. Freestyle skiing first began to be taken seriously in the 1960s and 70s, when it was known as "hot-dogging."

Her Venue

A half-pipe is a structure used in gravity extreme sports such as freeskiing and snowboarding. The attraction of the half-pipe lies in the fact that a skilled athlete can perform on it for an extended period of time, using a technique called pumping, to attain extreme speeds, while expending relatively little effort.
